NTU COOL User Support(中文版)
Does NTU COOL have a mobile application(APP) version?
NTU COOL does not have a mobile version. Currently, NTU COOL supports RWD (Responsive Web Design). In principle, when using mobile devices including tablets and mobile phones, the webpage screen will be adjusted accordingly. Due to the limited development resources of the NTU COOL team, considering the current resources and future maintenance energy, it may be difficult to incorporate into short-term development projects, sorry for the inconvenience caused. If there is an opportunity to develop an APP in the future, relevant information will be announced to users. If you want to quickly open NTU COOL on your mobile phone, you can refer to how to set a shortcut on the home page of your mobile phone.
Why can't the NTU COOL system pages be displayed smoothly?
- Google Chrome 117 and 118
- Firefox 117 and 118 (excluding its extended release)
- Microsoft Edge 117 and 118
- Respondus Lockdown Browser (supported with its latest system requirements)
- Safari 16 and 17 (limited to Macintosh)
If you encounter issues where the NTU COOL pages cannot be displayed properly on your browser, please consider updating your browser to the versions that are stably supported by the system. This should help resolve the problem.
If you still can’t log in, kindly provide details about your environment (browser and version, operating system version) and screenshots of the issue. Send an email to ntucool@ntu.edu.tw, and we will further assist you in troubleshooting the problem.
I am unable to log in to NTU COOL successfully.
<NTU Account>
If you are unable to log in using your NTU account, please first test whether you encounter login issues on the library website, which also uses the SSO 2.0 system. If you are unable to log in to the library website as well, it may indicate an issue with your NTU account’s SSO 2.0 service. Please send an email to cchelp@ntu.edu.tw or call 3366-5022 to contact the Computer and Information Networking Center.
However, if you can log in to the library website but are experiencing difficulties logging in to NTU COOL, please email ntucool@ntu.edu.tw with your “student ID,” “name,” and a description of the issue. We will promptly investigate and address the problem for you.

Why the video is not working?
Check the NTU COOL website announcement to see if the NTU COOL video service is under maintenance or experiencing issues.
If there are no relevant announcements on the website, please first check if your internet connection is functioning properly. If the internet connection is normal, please refer to: ‘NTU COOL Video Cannot be Viewed Normally, What Should I Do‘ and follow the instructions in the document for relevant troubleshooting.
If you’ve tried the above methods and the issue persists, please provide the “course name” and “video name” or the “video link” where you encountered the problem. Send an email to ntucool@ntu.edu.tw, and we will troubleshoot the issue.

The NTU COOL Operation team will assist you in joining the course.
How to allow students to join the course before the student list is imported?
How to change the role for student who have successfully enrolled in the course from "auditor" to "student"?
Once a student’s course enrollment is successful, the system will automatically import the student list and update their role from “auditor” to “student” if the student registers as an auditor using the school email.
For students from institutions other than the NTU System (NTNU, NTUST), please ask them to send an email to ntucool@ntu.edu.tw and the NTU COOL operation team will assist them in changing their role to “student.”
Does NTU COOL have a voting or roll call function?
NTU COOL currently does not specifically provide voting or roll call functions. But you can achieve the effect of voting or roll call through the following methods:
- For an assignment that does not need to be handed in, register the absence status in this field. (for roll call)
- An online quiz with a limited time to answer during the class (or only provide the on-site classmate quiz password, etc.) (voting or roll call is available)
If there is a need for roll call and voting, please refer to the following sections in the NTU COOL Manuals for Teachers and TAs:
The courses I am teaching this semester are not appearing on NTU COOL.
If a teacher does not see the courses taught this semester under ‘Courses,’ please click on the blue toolbar on the left side of the screen, select ‘+ Build Course,’ and refer to the manual ‘How to Create a Course on NTU COOL.‘ Follow the instructions in the document to complete the course creation procedure. Your courses for this semester will then appear under ‘Courses.’

Why can't I see my course on the COOL dashboard? Why does my course suddenly disappear?
- Courses from past semesters:
Courses from the past semesters will be categorized as “Past Enrollments.” You can follow these steps to find them:
-
- Click on the “Courses” section on the left sidebar, and then select “All Courses” at the bottom of the menu.
- Scroll down the page to the “Past Enrollments” section, where you’ll find all the courses that ended.
- If the courses you have enrolled in for this semester do not appear on NTU COOL, it could be due to one of the following three reasons.
Reason 1: The student list hasn’t been imported into the NTU COOL system.
Solution: Student lists are imported from the Office of Academic Affairs’ course selection system. The system updates the student list every day during the add/drop period. You can re-confirm after a working day to see if you’ve been added to the COOL course page.
Reason 2: The teacher hasn’t created a COOL course page.
Solution: You can visit the “NTU Course Information” website to find your course and check if the “Course Website” column displays the NTU COOL logo. If not, it indicates that the teacher hasn’t created a COOL course page. Creating course pages is at the discretion of the teacher, and some courses might not utilize COOL for instruction. You can contact the teacher for more information.
Reason 3: The teacher has created a COOL course page but hasn’t “Published” it.
Solution: Visit the “NTU Course Information” website to find your course and check if the “Course Website” column displays the NTU COOL logo. If it does, but you can’t see the course on your system, it might be because the teacher hasn’t “Published” the course page.
As the publication of course pages is under the teacher’s authority, if you wish to access course content sooner, consider sending an email to the teacher for further clarification.
If you continue to experience issues, please email ntucool@ntu.edu.tw, providing the course name, Curriculum Number, and class section. The NTU COOL operation team will assist in investigating the situation.
Why is the displayed name on NTU COOL different from my name? How to change the name on NTU COOL after I modify my name?
Since the name on NTU COOL is captured from the “Student Identity Database” of the Office of Academic Affairs or NTU CC, the name on NTU COOL may be overwritten once the system updates if the name in the database or NTU CC hasn’t been modified.
May I download the course video from NTU COOL?
Can I retain my data on NTU COOL after graduation?
NTU COOL utilizes the SSO 2.0 service from the NTU CC for login. Due to limitations imposed by the NTU CC, students cannot use their NTU accounts to access services that employ SSO 2.0 after graduation.
Currently, NTU COOL does not impose time restrictions on platform usage for graduated students. However, because of the aforementioned issue with NTU accounts after graduation, if you still need to log in to NTU COOL, please help us by filling out the following form to bind an external account: https://forms.gle/gQXa51Yj9RppTQ7y7
The binding process takes about 3–7 working days, so please wait patiently.
After the binding is complete, we will send you an email. Follow the instructions in the email to log in, and you will be able to access your previous NTU COOL account.
Reminder:
Starting from the 114th academic year, NTU COOL will implement a new policy where course data will only be retained for seven years. In the future, data older than seven years will be regularly deleted to effectively utilize system resources and free up storage space.
Before implementation, we will post platform announcements and send emails to all platform users to prepare them in advance.
If you need to download documents, please refer to How to Download All Course Documents and Past Uploaded Assignments on NTU COOL
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you!
Why does it consistently display 'Auditor' instead of 'Student' in the course?
- If you are a student at NTU
- The NTU COOL system updates the student list every day during the add/drop period. If you confirmed your enrollment in the course, the “auditor” status will automatically change to “student” after the update of the list.
- If you are a student from the NTU System (NTNU, NTUST):
- The system importing of the student list from the NTU System needs to wait for 3 to 5 days, the role will automatically change to a “student” once the list is imported.
- If you are a student at NTNU, please check the email: studentID@ntnu.edu.tw
- If you are a student at NTUST, please check the email: studentID@mail.ntust.edu.tw
- For more details about the NTU system student account, please refer to this document.
- If you are a non-NTU System student:
- Please send an email to ntucool@ntu.edu.tw, including your “enrollment proof” and “NTU COOL registered email address.” The NTU COOL operation team will assist you in changing your status to “student.”
