Dear Faculty, Teaching Assistants, and Students,
Greetings to all.
To provide the university community with a stable, secure, and versatile digital teaching platform, National Taiwan University officially adopted NTU COOL starting from the 111-1 academic semester. Simultaneously, CEIBA ceased importing new courses and related data from the 111-1 academic semester.
As of November 14, 2022, CEIBA entered read-only mode, remaining accessible for teachers who previously offered courses on CEIBA and students with course records to query and download past course materials.
CEIBA has been a companion to NTU faculty and students for over 20 years, witnessing changes in higher education and technological advancements, becoming an integral part of our learning experiences.
However, technological progress necessitates a platform that aligns better with modern educational requirements. Therefore, starting from the 111-1 semester, we bid farewell to CEIBA and welcome a new teaching experience.
To assist in retaining relevant course materials and learning achievements, the current CEIBA web interface provides a 「One-Click Download」 feature, available until the end of this year (December 31, 2023). Simultaneously with CEIBA decommissioning, related services will also cease.
Faculty, teaching assistants, and students are urged to download and back up necessary data before December 31, 2023.
Additionally, the 「Copy CEIBA Course」 function, available to teachers when opening courses on NTU COOL, is expected to operate until the 113-2 semester. From the 114-1 semester onwards, it will only copy course data from NTU COOL itself. Teachers with relevant needs are reminded to take note of this change.
Finally, we express our gratitude to all faculty and students for their care and understanding of CEIBA over the years.
